“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
— Maya Angelou
Turns out, publishing isn’t quite the breezy, movie-style journey it often appears to be...
I’ve always been drawn to writing — ever since my scribbles started making sense (and even when they didn’t).
As a young child, I wrote articles for my church newsletter, contributed to the school yearbook, and even had a poem published in an anthology at age 11.
Like many of us, I spent years dreaming of publishing a story (ideally while living in a beach house and wistfully writing series after series of romantic fiction - ha ha!). And wow, did I write a lot of stories over the years (minus the beach house). But the road to traditional publishing was a tough one to break into. After receiving one ‘no’ after another, I felt defeated. And yet… deep down, I knew my writing would be meaningful to someone out there.
So, I took a different path — the incredibly interesting (and at times wild) journey of self-publishing. And what a journey it’s been! I’m still learning how to reach my ideal readers, but I’m trusting that the path will unfold exactly as it’s meant to.
Feel free to scroll through my available books. If any of them speak to you, I’d be so honoured to hear how they land for you.

When the pandemic hit in 2020 Clare Emms realised that it was now or never to write a book that she'd been wanting to write for years.
This ex-teacher, parent coach and reparenting advocate decided to write a book all about her journey of changing her beliefs from disempowering to empowering. She takes you on a journey through her own life experiences by exploring beliefs behind traditional parenting, education and spirituality into a new awareness of these topics and a total change of perspective.
As you read through the book you will have the opportunity to reflect on your own beliefs from childhood and see where you would like to find more truth - or create an awareness of new beliefs in your life!
Clare has a life-shortening chronic condition called Cystic Fibrosis and she knew from an early age that she didn't want to sit back and wait for life to happen to her. She took the bull by the horns and uncovered beliefs that were holding her back in order to create a life that she feels excited about and proud to be living.
When you read this book you will feel inspired to live your best life by finding your own version of wisdom that is true for you! You will start to see that by changing your beliefs you can truly change your life!
