I felt God's presence... everywhere

Funny how some will say that their God, is the God;

that no one has ever met God like they have.

So who's God is the God?

Does anyone know the truth?

Does anyone have the answer without a doubt?

I felt God's presence in my Catholic church growing up,

but I also felt it in the wind that blew.

I felt God's presence in a Hindu temple,

but I also felt it as I watched my child play.

I felt God's presence as a young teenager told me about her struggles with her sexuality,

but I also felt it singing the National Anthem with friends!

I felt God's presence as I reached out for answers, that Oracle cards gave in a heartbeat,

but I also felt it as my Mom wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug.

I felt God's presence as I attended an Alpha course in the Methodist church,

but I felt it just as strongly as I spoke with the Jehovah's Witness who gave me a kind smile and a friendly chat.

I felt God's presence at a Buddhist retreat,

but just as much in the Beatles song I sang.

I felt God's presence in the Afrikaans church I walked through once,

but I also felt it as I danced in conscious dance to the music of pagans!

I felt God's presence as I lay down at a Reiki session and felt healing energy all around,

but I also felt it as I attended a funeral in the Anglican church.

I felt God's presence in the African choir that sang next to me once at the airport,

but I also felt it as I sat quietly in the Catholic retreat centre, on my own, praying a simple prayer.

Oh to open our hearts to seeing God in all things!

I will forever be grateful for releasing my need to know the answer and trusting that wherever I go...

I will find God there.
